Four ambitioned start-ups took part in the final of this years SevenVentures Pitch Day and presented their business-models in front of the jury. Kathrin Nusser, CFO flaconi, SevenVentures CCO Florian Weber and entertainer & entrepreneur Joko Winterscheidt had a tough decision to make.

The Berlin-based start-up SIRPLUS convinced the jury with its idea of tackling the social issue of food waste. Along with this sustainable business model SIRPLUS’ Co-Founder and CEO Raphael Fellmer carried the jury. With the amazing prize of EUR 3 million of media advertising budget and a brand new TV-spot he aimes to reach the break-even as well as scale the brand continuously.
For the first time, the SevenVentures Pitch Day took place as a virtual streaming in close cooperation with 4GAMECHANGERS, the international digital festival of ProSiebenSat.1 PULS 4 in Austria.

Creating a Mass Market Brand!

SevenVentures Pitch Day (2019) returned to the DMEXCO for another year to search for the most innovative start-up in the B2C sector. The jury voted ArtNight as the 2019 winner, a Berlin start-up founded in 2016 that offers creative, edutainment events in bars and restaurants. ArtNight beat competitors CHOOOSE, Jodel and rebike1 to secure the lucrative media and service package from ProSiebenSat1 Group, which featured:
  • €3 million in TV advertising
  • €30,000 for the production of a TV spot
  • A four-month mentoring programme from Flaconi
Flaconi CFO, Kathrin Nusser and our CEO Dr. Jens Pippig were joined by TV presenter Joko Winterscheidt to form this year’s panel of industry experts. Steven Gätjen returned for another year to present the event before a live audience at the DMEXCO on September 12th. Three start-ups were selected for our grand finale: ArtNight, CHOOOSE and rebike1. A fourth finalist, Jodel, received a wildcard from the DMEXCO and also secured a place in the final. ArtNight was able to win over the jury with their innovative business idea and convincing presentation, securing the win over the competition and taking home the grand media prize.

Go from Start-up to Brand!

True to the motto from start-up to brand SevenVentures was looking for the most creative and innovative companies in the B2C market space. The winner of 7VPD 2018 was Selfapy. Selfapy beat the competition yamo, Edamama and Caroobi and snapped up a lucrative media package worth millions. The winner received a full-service media package including:
  • €3 million worth of TV advertising
  • €200,000 worth of online marketing
  • €30,000 towards a professional TV spot
  • A mentoring program from Procter & Gamble
SevenVentures Pitch Day 2018 Jury:
  • Michael Stich is a entrepreneur, founder and a former professional tennis player.
  • Astrid Teckentrup has been managing director of P&G sales in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, one of the largest markets for P&G worldwide, since 2015. On a global level, she is responsible for a major global customer.

    Jens is Co-CEO of SevenVentures and Founder & Managing Director of the ProSiebenSat.1 Accelerator (awarded"Best Accelerator" in 2017 and 2018 by CAPITAL). Before that, he was leading ProSiebenSat.1 Group‘s strategy department. Prior to that, Jens spent eight years at McKinsey & Company in Berlin and specialized in e-commerce,private equity, and retail. He also founded two successful companies (Potentialpark and Entrypark) in the field of market research and employer branding in Sweden. Jens studied economics at Witten/Herdecke University where he obtained his PhD. He also studied business administration and economics in Stockholm and at Harvard.
    Florian Pauthner. Florian is Managing Director of SevenVentures and previously enjoyed a longstanding career as an investment expert as former SevenVentures’ CFO, in M&A for one of the biggest financial institutions in Northern Europe and at a leading management consultancy.

Berlin Calling

HAFERVOLL is this year’s winning SevenVentures Pitch Day startup. The Cologne-based startup, which produces handmade muesli bars without the use of any additives, beat the stiff international competition at the DLD Berlin and snapped up a lucrative media package worth millions.
The winner received a full-service media package including:
  • 3 million euros worth of TV advertising
  • 200,000 euros worth of online marketing
  • 40,000 euros towards a professional TV spot
  • Support from top German social influencer Sophia Thiel
This year’s panel of experts included TV presenter and start-up investor Joko Winterscheidt and SevenVentures CEO Florian Pauthner. Accompanying presenter Steven Gätjen through the programme and advising the finalists was the leading German lifestyle influencer Sophia Thiel.

The SevenVentures Pitch Day is our signature event and, according to Forbes magazine, ranks as one of the major start-up competitions worldwide. This year we are bringing the most rewarding competition for businesses, to DLD NYC for the very first time.

Munich 2016

The 7VPD came back home to Munich.

On the stage of the DLDsummer, Europe’s hottest networking and innovation conference, we held our 5th 7VPD. Six amazing start-ups were invited to pitch live on stage and win over the hearts of the audience and jury as well as being able to win our great prize. (Three million euros TV-media, 200 thousand euros online and 70 thousand euros offline media budget + the creation of a TV-spot)

Sascha van Holt (CEO of SevenVentures & jury member) said: “It has never been so difficult to pick a winner, since all of the six start-ups are extremely competent.” Luckily the decision was made for him, as the DLDsummer audience had the last say and voted this year’s 7VPD: “Tinkerbots”

Germany’s largest TV network corporation announces together with its European Media Partners the 3rd SevenVentures Pitch Day (7VPD). The most innovative founders and Start-ups worldwide pitch their concepts on7VPD @ NOAH Conference in London on November 13th, 2014.

7VPD prizes 2014

The 7 finalists will compete for a €7 million prize of TV media on the channels owned by ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG. ProSiebenSat.1 Group awards €4 mn to the 1st winner, €2 mn to the 2nd winner and €1 mn to the 3rd winner!The Public Vote Winner will receive the Pan-European Media Prize which will be awarded the for the first time in the 7VPD history.The European Media Alliance includes the following partner - TF1 (France), Channel4 (UK), Dogan TV (Turkey), TVN (Poland), Modern Times Group (CEE) and Antenna Group (Greece).The media prizes come of course “no strings attached“ for each winning venture.

Mentorship dinner with David Blumberg

On November 12th an exclusive mentorship dinner with David Blumberg will take place at the Banking Hall in London. All the finalists of 7VPD will have the unique opportunity to ask questions and discuss with David.David Blumberg is the Managing Partner of Blumberg Capital. He has been investing in early stage technology companies for more than 24 years. His current investment focus includes Digital Media, Social Media, Mobility, SaaS/Technology Enabled Services and Internet.

Austria 2016

The Austrian branch of SevenVentures is proud to present their own SevenVentures Pitch Day, which is being organized once every quarter. Austrian Start-Ups have the chance to pitch their idea in front of a hand selected audience as well as an expert jury.  
Ultimately the jury will choose a winner, after the start-up survived a 10 min Q&A session with them. The victorious start-up will win a 25.000 EUR TV-Media prize.
